These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Europe Air Alert / Air Alert ("Air Alert", "we", "us", or "our"), including the mobile app, widgets, notifications, maps, shelter information, and related backend services.
By using Air Alert, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Air Alert is not an official government emergency service, civil defense authority, rescue service, or public warning system.
The app aggregates and displays public safety alert and shelter information from official or public data sources where available. Data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, incorrect, or misclassified. Push notifications may be delayed or may not arrive due to device settings, network conditions, Apple Push Notification service behavior, source outages, backend outages, or other factors outside our control.
Do not rely on Air Alert as your only source of emergency information. Always follow instructions from official authorities, emergency services, local sirens, public broadcasts, and other official warning channels.
You may use Air Alert for personal, non-commercial access to public safety alert and shelter information.

We may suspend or restrict access if we believe the app or backend is being misused.
Air Alert uses external data sources for alerts, shelter locations, and related public safety information. We do not control those sources and cannot guarantee continuous availability, accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or coverage.
Shelter information may be incomplete, outdated, unavailable, or may not indicate current access, capacity, opening hours, safety condition, or readiness. Before relying on shelter information, follow local authority instructions and on-site guidance.
If you enable notifications, Air Alert may send alert, all-clear, or related safety notifications for regions you select. Notifications are provided on a best-effort basis and are not guaranteed.
You are responsible for configuring your device notification settings, Focus modes, network access, and app permissions.
Location features are optional. If you grant permission, Air Alert may use your location to show nearby shelters, center the map, and calculate distances. You can disable location access in iOS Settings.
Air Alert may show advertisements in the future, including through Google AdMob or similar providers. Ads help support operation and development of the service.
We may offer paid options to remove ads. If you purchase ad removal, ads will be removed according to the product description and applicable App Store purchase terms.
Air Alert may offer optional subscriptions, one-time purchases, or lifetime purchases. Paid features may include ad removal, premium functionality, or other benefits described in the app at the time of purchase.
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple's terms, billing rules, refund policies, and subscription management controls apply.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, according to Apple's App Store rules. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
A lifetime purchase means access to the described paid feature for the lifetime of the app/service, subject to these Terms, technical availability, App Store rules, and our ability to continue operating the service. It does not guarantee that all future features will be included unless explicitly stated.
We may change free or paid features over time, but we will not intentionally remove an active paid entitlement without a reasonable technical, legal, safety, or platform-related reason.
Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. We cannot directly issue App Store refunds unless Apple provides a mechanism that allows us to do so.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of Air Alert at any time, including data sources, countries, alert types, shelter coverage, widgets, ads, and paid features.
We may update the app and backend to improve reliability, security, performance, compliance, or user experience.
Air Alert is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be accurate, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or available during emergencies.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for damages arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on Air Alert, including missed alerts, delayed notifications, incorrect data, unavailable shelter information, source outages, device settings, network failures, or emergency-related decisions.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected and used. By using Air Alert, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or through the App Store listing.
